Opteka Steadyvid SV-DH Camera Stabilizer Review

by shredpictures on April 14, 2014

If you’re on the fence about getting a camera stabilizer because of how expensive they can be, the Opteka Steadyvid SV-HD is an option you can try. It works well enough for smaller cameras under 5lbs like a DSLR camera. This is my first stabilizer and it gets the job done, but I know it does lack some of the finer features found in the more expensive line of camera stabilizers.  If you’re going to be relying on it a lot I wouldn’t recommend the Opteka Styeadyvid SV-HD, you’d probably be happier in the long run with something from Steadicam, Glidecam or another manufacture. Opteka products are low cost, are better than DIY rigs and at around $120 it’s a good starter stabilizer.
